94th Place — A Love Letter

94th Place — A Love Letter

It’s hard to put into words what this house has meant to us. 94th Place wasn’t just a house. It was the place we brought our tiny Lowen home to. And because of that, it will forever hold a sacred place in our hearts.

From the moment we walked through the front door, we could see it — the vision of what this home could be. It wasn’t perfect, not even close. But we saw through the dated cabinets, tired walls, smelly garage and creaky floors, and imagined something beautiful. And Grant? He made it all happen. He worked his tail off to bring our dream to life, room by room, project by project.

Designing this space together was an absolute dream and one of the most challenging things we’ve ever done. Living in a construction zone while growing our family? Let’s just say there were more than a few tears. But somehow, amidst the chaos and sawdust, our love and laughter filled every corner.

This house watched us grow in ways we never could have anticipated. We found out we were pregnant here — the joy, the shock, the wonder of that moment forever etched in the walls. And then came the day we brought Lowen home. Our tiny girl in our arms, crossing the threshold into the space we’d poured so much of ourselves into.

We celebrated milestones here — her first bath in the sink, her crawling down the long hallway, her first food, her first birthday. These walls have witnessed love in its rawest and realest form.

And it’s not just the house — it’s the people. The neighborhood, the neighbors — they’ve been pure gold. From casual sidewalk chats, watching our babies grow, to helping hands in times of need, we’ve been so blessed by their friendship. That kind of community is rare, and we’re so grateful we got to be a part of it.

It hurts to let go. Honestly, I’m sobbing as I write this. We had dreams of many more years here, of more babies and birthdays and slow Sunday mornings. But life had other plans. And so, with heavy hearts and so much gratitude, we say goodbye.

Now, Wenatchee is home. Another renovation, another adventure. We’re building something beautiful there too — because that’s what we do. We make houses into homes, and we fill them with love.

But 94th Place? You were our beginning. And we’ll carry you with us, always.

I’m sharing these photos here to honor the love of intentional design and the love we poured into this special home. To see the before photos check out @potterhomejournal on Instagram.
